Mookie Sato

ミッドセンチュリー・ティキカルチャーのスタイルを最も得意とし、アメリカをはじめ、世界各国のサブカルチャーで活動する日本人アーティスト。
10代の頃からアメリカに拠点を置き、帰国後2000年よりフリーとして活動を始める。
国内ではショックウェーブアワード、クリエーターズドットコムなどグランプリ受賞。
またオリンピック、K1グランプリ、TVCM、MTVなど数々のプロジェクトに参加。
現在はフロリダ、LAを中心に世界各国でアートショーに参加。

ヨーロッパのレコードレーベルやアメリカのティキカルチャーで活動し、コレクターブックやミュージアムにもアートワークを提供。
2010年にはマイアミで開催されたポリネシアンアートコンペティションにてグランプリを受賞したのを期にティキアーティストとしての地位を確立した。
その後ハワイやアメリカのラジオ、またハリウッド映画にも出演。
2014年アメリカにて、ティキカルチャーに最も貢献したアーティストとして表彰されるなど、今最も注目を集めている。

Mookie Sato specializes in the Tiki culture style from the mid-century. Having started in the USA, he operates in the subculture groups all over the world.
The artist was based in the USA since she was 10 years old. After returning to Japan in 2000 he has started to work as a freelancer.
Mookie Sato is the winner of the Japanese Shock Wave and Creators.com awards.
The goal is to create artwork that both kids and adults will want to touch.
