Junko is a pattern magician. She will stimulate your imagination and bring you comfort.

When she was asked her dream job in the 6th grade, she reponded "someone who moves others emotionally".
Her creative process is an endless cycle of trying to express her true self while figuring out what "someone who moves others" really does.

It's a bit of a tall order. Fulfilling this vaguely worded dream has been a hard journey, but somewhere along the way it became her raison d'etre.
"zuncot" is a mix of her nickname (Zunko) and cot (a shortening of cotton).
zuncot is Junko's home, a small house filled floor to ceiling with Junko-patterned walls, decor, clothing, and food.
It's a place where she invites the 2% of the world who love her art to gather and laugh together.

Junko believes it is her responsibility to create things that she can't even begin to imagine, things that will surely make your heart sing.
She hopes that, together, we can search for those things, create every possible design, and spin a wonderful tale while we're at it.
The spun threads of those stories become fabric and that fabric gets dyed to have a printed pattern. This pattern can continue on forever and ever, depending on the design.
She will never tire of this wonderful artform.

"zuncot" started from Junko's desire to produce textile designs, inspired by her deep love for patterned clothes. She chose "cotton" as part of her brand's name because she sees textiles as part of her soul.
She's ready to continue her grand adventure.
