Yoji Takamoto
Yoji Takamoto
Yoji Takamoto begins each of his paintings by applying a wet piece of paper to a wooden plank. Then, he starts painting with acryllic paint.
He often uses a black pen to add illustrations on top.
Animals, human silhouettes and facial expressions are depicted with great humour, creating laughter for the viewer.
His usual pieces are small and made of paper cut-outs. It's quite a challenge to switch to larger media as a result. The question is whether it's possible to adjust to a whole room. He's excited to find out.
